Hugh G. Connor II

Biography

Hugh G. Connor II joined Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP in 1993 after receiving his juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law. Mr. Connor previously received his bachelor of science degree, also cum laude, from the University of Maine in 1988. He is a partner and co-section head of the firm’s Litigation practice group.

Mr. Connor has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation cases, including professional negligence, class actions, intellectual property, oil and gas, bad faith claims, deceptive trade practices, and breach of contract claims.

Mr. Connor has been honored as an "Attorney of Excellence" in Commercial Litigation, in the Fort Worth Business Press for many years. Mr. Connor has been included in the Best Lawyers in America from 2006 to present.

Mr. Connor enjoys raising his daughter, Brailey.

  • Lead trial counsel for a frac chemicals manufacturer in a theft of trade secrets case. Obtained multi-million dollar jury verdict after a two week trial. (February 2010)
  • Lead trial counsel for local real estate developer in tortious interference lawsuit against an oil and gas company. Obtained a multi-million dollar jury verdict after a two week trial. (April 2009)
  • Lead trial counsel for local truck body manufacturer. Obtained a multi-million dollar jury verdict against competitor for trade dress infringement and false advertising under the Lanham Act. (January 2008) Case affirmed on appeal.
  • Lead trial counsel for local doctor group. Obtained a multi-million dollar jury verdict against publicly traded pharmaceutical distribution company in federal court. (November 2007).  Case affirmed on appeal 
  • Co-lead counsel for local manufacturing company against international manufacturing entity. Secured $12 million judgment after five-week jury trial. Case affirmed on appeal
  • Co-lead counsel for commission salesperson. Obtained multi-million dollar jury verdict.  Case settled before appeal
  • Secured $10 million settlement for transportation logistics company in trade secrets/hacking case
  • Secured significant seven figure settlement against company for negligent hiring
  • Successfully represented many attorneys and law firms sued for professional negligence
  • Secured directed verdict for wholesale car dealer in multi million dollar usury claim
